White Wings Aikido encourages traditional values with a new start up programme for beginners to help you achieve results in the first lesson and beyond.

White Wings Aikido Welcomes people from other Aikido clubs and other martial arts to come and train without having to give up their roots to share their thoughts.

Are you looking to Start Aikido? Aikido is a Japanese martial art developed by Morihei Ueshiba and is often translated as the Way of unifying [with] life energy or as the Way of harmonious spirit. Ueshiba's goal was to create an art that people could use to defend themselves while also protecting their attacker from injury. His aim was to exploit the motion of any attacker redirecting the force of their attack rather than opposing it head-on. Aikido practised correctly requires very little physical strength but has very powerful consequences.

The White Wings Dojo school and Gym is located in purpose built premises in Fenny Drayton and is set in spacious, peaceful gardens. There are a number of experienced instructors waiting to help you find your way. Together the three instructors have studied the art of Aikido for over a hundred years, a significant number of which were under Master Pat Stratford, 8th Dan at the Wyken Community Center in Coventry. We are guiding people to use their bodies in a natural and more powerful way through inner movement, as taught by Dan Harden along with experienced Tai Chi and Yoga instructors.

The school is now looking for students to grace its mats and embrace its philosophy. Our aim is to continue the excellent example set by Master Pat Stratford (who we consider to be the finest exponent of Aikido outside of Japan) by creating an environment where students can extend their knowledge and practical Aikido skills in a safe and supportive atmosphere

White Wings Dojo welcomes students from Nuneaton, Bedworth, Bulkington, Coventry, Birmingham, Tamworth, Hinckley, Market Bosworth, Atherstone and surrounding areas of Leicestershire, Warwickshire, Derbyshire, West Midlands and Staffordshire to come and train sharing the Aikido experience. We already have students from these areas studying with us.

If you're interested in starting Aikido, learning self-defence or continuing to learn in a different environment you can start by calling this number 01827 716100 or 07831 200540 and ask for Adrian.
